Retired Army Capt. Louis Francis Grunloh, 85, of San Diego died Aug. 7. He was born in Effingham, III., and was
an elementary school teacher for the San Diego Unified School District. Capt. Grunloh was a veteran of World
Warlland the Korean War. He was a member of the National Poetry Association.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice T. Grunioh; daughter, Barbara O'Rourke of Lakeside; sons, Ronald Grunloh of
Hamden, Conn., Russell Grunloh of Del Mar, Howard Grunloh of Carlsbad and Brian Grunloh of Stockton;
sisters, Louise Schoening of Silver City, N.M., and Olive Fuelle and Jeanne Kinkelaar of Effingham, Ill.; brothers,
Richard Grunloh, Harold Grunloh, Clifford Grunloh and Donald Grunloh of Effingham, Ill.; and eight
grandchildren.
Mass: 2 p.m. Aug. 24, Mission San Luis Rey, 4050 Mission Ave., Oceanside.
Inurnment: Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery, Oceanside.
Donations: American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements: Balboa Cremation Services.
