Joseph Glasgow Esq. - He served with the "Rockbridge Light Horse Cavalry," under Col. James McDowell, in the War of 1812. He married and settled on his beautiful farm on the James River, and built a luxurious home, named "Union Ridge" in honor of his wife's mother's ancestral home.
