Mildred M. Tungate, 56, 621 Colescott St., died at 5 p.m. Thursday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born on April 6, 1932, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Elmer E. and Nellie (Platt) Hey.
On June 27, 1954 in Shelbyville, she married Ancil Tungate, who survives.
A homemaker, she had been a seamstress for many years and was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Church and the church's Women's Guild and Triple L Class. She was also a member of Bears of Blue River Camping Club.
Survivors are three children, Gary Tungate, Shelbyville, Mrs. Jim (Jane Ann) Alexander, Franklin, and Shane Tungate, Shelbyville; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Jack (Betty) Yanzer, Shelbyville.
A sister preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Evangelical United Church of Christ with the Rev. David Schnepf officiating. Burial wil be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home.
