A homemaker, Mrs. Fischer had been a charter member of the Shelbyville Bears of Blue River Camping Club and a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ.
A daughter of Elmer and Nellie (Platt) Hey, she was born June 2, 1934, in Shelby County. She was married Oct. 23, 1954, to Thomas Fischer, who survives.
Also surviving are daughter, Karen Harter and Melinda Hammitte, both of St. Paul, and Lesa Brinson, Shelbyville; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and sister, Mildred Tungate and Betty Yanzer, both Shelbyville.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home with the Rev. David Schepf officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
