He had several syblings including John born 1901, Jantje born 1903, Engel born 1905, Engelina born 1908, Walter born 1910, Jennetta born 1915, Alma born 1919, and Raymond born 1927.
William and Gertrude De Jong were married March 4, 1937 in Leighton IA by Rev. Cornelius Witt.
They had four daughters:
Lavonne Joyce who is still living
Lois Jean who is still living
Twila Mae born Nov 30 1947 and died Feb 21, 1947 in Pella Hospice Care
Darlene Ruth who is still living.
William died at 88 years of age.
