Lorene Allen, 88, of Lampasas, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015, in Lampasas. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Scott's Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Travis County.
Lorene was born in Lampasas, Texas, to the late Jim and Eva Turner Holland. She married T.A. Allen on September 18, 1940, and they had seven children. She helped support her family through the lean hard times when they were younger. As she got older and her family grew, she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, T.A. Allen; sons, James Allen and William Herbert Allen; two infant grandchildren; a sister; and two brothers.
Survivors include her daughters: Eva Alderson, Linda Cummins, Alice Harrell and husband, Robert, and Mary Caraway; son, Ricky Allen; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Susie Watkins; other relatives and many friends. M18
