ULTON "MAC" MCKINNEY
Ulton "Mac" McKinney, our beloved Daddy, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015. He would have celebrated his 91st birthday on April 25, 2015. He was born in Hinote, Alabama to Matthew Lee McKinney and Addie Bell Griffin. Daddy honored his country and enlisted in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He was stationed on the battleship USS Pennsylvania during the Aleutian Campaign and was at Pearl Harbor at the time his enlistment was completed. He retired from the US Postal System after 23 years of service.He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Ward McKinney and their son, Ronald Wayne McKinney, his wife, Eva Diamond McKinney, and her son, Kenny Diamond, his brothers, Edward, Robert and Milton McKinney, and his sister, Geraldine Jernigan.He is survived by his daughter, Alice Alexander (Bill); grandson, Patrick Alexander (Trudy); great grandchildren, Tyler and Sidney Alexander, Brayden Weigand; granddaughter, Chelsey Donahue (Sean); great grandchildren, Cailey, Dillion and Blake Donahue; his daughter-in-law, Shelia McKinney; his daughter, Deborah Diamond; grandson, Eddie Taylor; great great grandson, Garrett Taylor; granddaughter, Tina Stout (David); great great grandchildren, Kendal and Keagan Kirk and Joxon Stout; daughter, Kathy Spivey; granddaughter, Teresa (Eddie) Moore; great great grandchildren, Jamie and Tessa Moore; grandson, Randy (Sandy) Spivey; and great great grandsons, Jason and Brandon Spivey; grandson, Teddy Spivey; great great grandchildren, Hanna, Chandler and Hunter Spivey; great granddaughter, Kelly (David) Rogers; great great grandchildren, Hanna, Chandler and Hunter Rogers; granddaughter, Chris Diamond; great great granddaughter, Ashley Marquer; and his sisters, Juanita Summerlin and Virginia Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery in Pace. Patrick Alexander, Bill Warren, Ashton Johnson, Earl Ray McKinney, Sean Donahue and Terry Lambert will serve as pallbearers.The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the funeral home.
