Charles Edwin "Sonny" Dick, 74, a resident of Coffman Nursing Home, Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at the nursing home.
Born Sept. 13, 1936, in Downsville, Md., he was the son of the Late Russel Leroy and Ruby Gertrude Renner Dick.
He was a 1954 graduate of Williamsport High School. He was previously employed by Grand Union supermarket in Hagerstown.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Downsville Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter & two sons all of Hagerstown; one sister also in Hagerstown, one sister in Lanham, MD; and eight grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Ruby Shannon, and one brother, Richard Dick.
The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, MD., on Thurs. Feb. 17; from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. Thurs. for the convenience of family and friends.
Graveside services will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park on Fri., Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Craig L. Jones officiating.
