Joseph was the son of Johnie Miller Watson and Mary L.Wilcher Watson of Cannon Co.,Tn. He married Eliza Stone daughter of R.B. Stone and Elisabeth Jetton Stone. She died about 1943. He then married Clerabel Wilcher. They had 2 children; Martha Jo Watson Barrett and Wayne Gray Watson. Clerabel is buried in Riverside Cemetery #145237359. Martha is also in Riverside Cemetery.
