HAROLD OZINGA

Funeral services were held Thursday Mar. 10 at the,, Peoria Christian Reformed church for Harold Ozinga, 55, who died at,Home Mar. ?. Officiating at the services was the, Rev. Peter Van Drunen. A quartet of Junior Deur, Gerald Rozenboom, John Roose and Robert Nikke sang two hymns, accompanied by Gilbert Vander Waal, pianist. Organist was Mrs. Kenneth Fynaardt and the congregation sang a hymn.
Casket bearers were Henry Nieuwsma; Arvin Roose, Cornelius Roose, Marion Swank, Bryce Van Vark and William Vernooy.

Harold Ozinga, son of William and Cornelia Nleuwsma Ozinga, was born Apr. 9, 1921 near Taintor. He attended the Peoria Christian grade schools. He married Ila Van Wyk of Peoria Jan. 23, 1947. He lived his entire lifetime in the Peoria vicinity and since 1951 has been farming north of Peoria.

Surviving are his wife, Ila and four children and their wives and husbands: Kenneth, Eugene of New Sharon; William Leroy of rural Pella; Darlene, Mrs. Alvin Van Hall of Pella;
and Alvin Gene at home. Also surviving are five grandchildren and three brothers: Jacob, of Pella; Arnold of Pella; and Melvin of Oskaloosa.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Anna Mae, Mrs. Frans De Jong,

Mr. Ozinga made a profession of his faith Sept.10, 1944 in the Peoria Christian Reformed church and remained a member
there until the time of his death.

Burial was in the Peoria cemetery , Peoria.
Memorials may be designated to the Christian Opportunity Center.
