Cornelia Ozinga, daughter of Henry and Anna Zylstra Nieuwsma was born on a farm near Leighton. Iowa on March 22. 1895 She passed away quietly at her farm home west of Peoria early Tuesday morning, January 21. 1964 at the age of 68.

Having spent most all of her years near Peoria she made profession of her faith in her Lord in the Peoria Christian Reformed Church in the year of 1916 of which she remained a faithful member till the time of her death.

On February 15. 1917 she was united in marriage to William Ozinga at the home of her parents near Peoria To this union were born four sons and one daughter namely Jacob, of Pella Harold and Arnold of Peoria, Anna Mae Mrs. Frans De Jongt of Albia Melnn of Oskaloosa.

Surviving her besides her husband, four sons and one daughter, are sixteen grandchildren. Also three sisters; Katie, Mrs. Lewis Vander Molen. and Sarah of Pella Ella Mrs. John A Roose of Peoria; and four brothers Gerrit of Oskaloosa; Henry of Leighton; Paul and John of Pella. she as preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Renee, and one grandson.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday. January 24, 1964. 1:30 p.m.. at the Peoria Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Donald Van Seek officiating. Burial was made in Peoria cemetery with Van Dyk-Duven Funeral home in charge.

She has stepped through a door
which she found standing wide
and has left all her cares
and grieves on this side
