HEALDTON -- Services for Kerry Wayne Turner, 43, Moore, will be Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Timothy Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Born on Nov. 13, 1962, in Ardmore to Peggy Norwood and Kenneth Turner, he died June 2, 2006, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Clyde Wood, and his paternal grandparents, Tom and Ruby Turner.

He was born in Ardmore and was raised in Healdton, where he attended school, graduating in 1980. In 1981, Kerry enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served his country for 4 years and was honorably discharged in 1985. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1986, where he worked in the security field and later in sales. He had a great passion for the OU Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys and loved coaching his son's youth football team. Kerry will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie, of the home; a daughter, Camille, Oklahoma City; a son, Kody, Chickasha; his mother, Peggy Norwood, Mustang; his father, Kenneth Turner, and his wife, Shirley, Duncan; sisters, Kena Crumbly, and her husband, Raymond, Tuttle, and Kim Hughes and her husband, Paul, Duncan; a brother, Mike Norwood, and his wife, Alicia, Lantana, Texas; grandmother, Truey Wood, Healdton; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bearers are Jerry Wood, Terry Wood, Brad McMullan, Bryan Hughes, Tanner Hughes and Louis Scott.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Roberts Funeral Home.
