Helen (DeMarco) Thompson, was a 13th child of a 13th child.
She would always say, "Thirteen is my lucky number!"

Her mother originated from Cilantro, Italy and her father from Venice. According to family history, he worked on the Panama Canal, had a leg injury, returned home and died due to the injuries incurred there. Helen married William G. Thompson. His family history includes "William Russell Grace" a NYC Mayor twice over and "Ellen Terry", a Victorian, English Shakespearian actress of the London stage in their family tree.

Helen had three children, Beatrice (Yenolevage), William, and Mary Ellen (O'Brieter). She was also a very proud grandmother (Nanny) to nine grandchildren including
Karen, Grace, Jane, Marilyn, Valerie (Yenolevage), Anthony and Victor (O'Brieter), Andrew and Jennifer (Thompson).

Helen worked for many years as one of the first telephone operators. She also worked at Pollack Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey caring for many people. She was always there to help out with her grandchildren and nephews. Loving mother, aunt and grandmother, you will always be in our hearts...xox
