Edith Timms Chapman 100, went to be with the Lord April 17, 2015. She was born April 11, 1915 to the late George W and Luna Hannah Timms. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray; five brothers, Grady, Carl, Clarence, Lester and Fred Timms; six sisters, Ellen Timms, Lula McAlister, Ruth Taylor, Elsie Chapman, Macie Cason and Sara Allison. Also, by two great-grandsons, Justin and Clay Hicks. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, Belton. She is survived by two children: Son-Roy G. Chapman and wife, Joyce of Fayetteville, GA; Daughter-Josephine C. Major and husband, Dan of Iva; one brother of the home, Henry Timms. She has 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is survived by a special niece who was also a loving Care-giver: Shirley Chapman Cobb. Service will be conducted at Cox Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Sunday by Rev. Daryle Hawthorne and Rev. Ron Fousek. The family will receive prior to the funeral beginning at 1 - 2:45 p.m. Following the service, burial will be at the Belton Cemetery. Flowers are omitted and memorials are to be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church, PO Box 808, Belton, SC 29627. The family will be at the residence.
