Clarence “Andy” Andrews 77, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Marshalltown surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at the Funeral Home.

Clarence Eugene Andrews was born on January 29, 1938, at Deaconess Hospital in Marshalltown, Iowa; he was the son of Carroll and Eva (Pool) Andrews. Andy attended School in Conrad Community School District graduating with the class of 1956. Andy served his country honorably in the United States
Army, from 1956 until 1958. On November 28, 1959, Andy was united in marriage to Margaret Ralf at the Grace United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa, where they made their home and raised their family. He had worked as a Marshalltown Fireman for 32 years retiring in 1993. Andy then drove for Marshall Motor Coach. He loved to travel, tinker on whatever needed fixed, “Handy Andy” he enjoyed his motorcycle travels, ford tractors, and most of all he loved his family and travels to see his children and grandchildren. He had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Marshalltown and the Local Union.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 Years, Margie of Marshalltown, Iowa, children: Susan Jo (Paul) Lillibridge of Belton, Texas, Scott (Maria) Andrews of Ankeny, Iowa, Sally(John) Jenkins of Peru, Illinois and Sara(Ken) Edel of Charlotte, North Carolina, grandchildren: Megan(Nick) Shelburne, Alex and Macy Lillibridge , Mallory and Samuel Andrews, Eric and Kyle Jenkins and Matt and Margaret Ann Edel, sisters, Wilma Geddes of Marshalltown, Iowa, Carolyn Salasek of Legrand and Virginia (Bill) Long of Marshalltown, Iowa.

In death Andy rejoins his parents, Carroll and Eva, and 2 brothers, Ralph and Dwayne.

Funeral services for Clarence "Andy" Andrews, 77, of Marshalltown, Iowa, were held Monday, April 20, 2015, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Bea Lebuda officiating.

Mr. Andrews was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Matt Edel, Eric Jenkins, Kyle Jenkins, Alex Lillibridge, Paul Lillibridge, John Jenkins, Nick Shelburne and Ken Edel.

Honorary Pallbearers were Gary Lukehart, Chuck Grove, Bill Ernst, Bill Decker, Gary Kutzner, Donnie Bryant and Samuel Andrews.

Groups in attendance included the Bobcat Estates, Southridge Nursing and Rehab, Marshalltown Fire Department and Retired Firemen, Farmers Savings Bank and many friends and family.

Mitchell Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Clarence and his family.
