She was raised in the Miami, OK area. After moving to San Diego, CA she worked in the Navy Commissary. In 1990, she and her husband, Lloyd Barry moved to Lost Bridge, AR.
Dee was owner of Country Music Place in Slate Gap area. She played bass guitar in her own band and on every occasion she could. Gardening was her joy and for years she raised many vegetables and gave much away.
Dee was preceded in death by two children, Tom Hicks and Carol Loffer.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheryl Quinton of Nowato, OK and son, Danny Holcomb of Springfield, MO; 37 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Harriett Mendenhall of Rogers, AR, Mary Beehler of Rogers, AR, LaVeda Baker of Tulsa, OK, and four brothers, Robert Willard of Chula Vista, CA, Frank Willard of Mt. Vernon, MO, Fred Willard of Rogers, AR and Jerry Willard of Slidell, LA.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2005 at 2pm at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
