Freida E. Cole, 58, of Windsor, beloved wife of Pastor Anthony Cole, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Atlanta, GA to the late Fuller Calhoun Jr. and Gladys Jackson, she has been a Windsor resident for almost 30 years. Staff Sergeant Frieda Cole served her country proudly with the US Army Reserve for 25 years and was the Evangelist and First Lady of Body of Christ Apostolic Church in Bloomfield. She loved to sew and enjoyed singing as well as regularly reading to the senior citizens at the senior center and volunteering at the Foodshare food pantry. Evangelist Cole is predeceased by her brother, Bud Jordan. Besides her husband, Pastor Anthony Cole, she is survived by her sons, her sister and two brothers, two grandchildren, and a whole host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, best friends and God children. A generous and caring woman, she had an uncanny way of making everyone who knew her feel special. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A homegoing service will be held July 16, 2014. Calling hours are at 10:00 AM. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at the Body of Christ Apostolic Church, 1073 Blue Hills Ave Bloomfield, CT followed by burial with military honors in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery...
