Mrs. Price was born Mary Alice Holcomb near Dallas, Texas, July 24, 1882, and lived her early life in that community. She was married to Frederick W. Price on March 21, 1880, and they came to Kansas to make their home, first near Wichita, and in 1885 located on a claim southwest of this city. Three sosns and three dadughters were born of this union, one son and one dadughter preceding her in death.
Surviving are two sons, J.W. Price and C.C. Price of this city and two daughters, Mrs Emma Olsosn of Mullinville and Mrs. Iown Woods of Portland, Oregon. Also a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many f riends.
She was one of the members of the early years of the Mullinville United Brethern church and was constant in attendance there until ill health forced her to stay away.
Funeral services were hold in the Evangelical United Brethren church here this afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev Karl H. Ford. A quartet, Mrs Chas, E. Sherer, Mrs J.W. Ireland, Orville Morris and V.A. Sherer sang "Going Down the Valley," "Unclouded Day, and "Asleep in Jesus"
Pallbearers were six grandsons of the deceased, Ray, Marvin and Harold Price, Floyd and Lawrence Olson, and Clarence Lewis. Eight granddaughters served as flower girls.
Interment was in the Hillcrest cemetery.
