Bea Burchell, age 85 of Manchester, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 18th, 2010 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born April 1st, 1924 in Clay County, Kentucky to Charlie Hammons and Lucy Miles. She was owner of the Manchester Lumber Company and a member of the Greenbriar Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her son: Robby Burchell and his wife Pat of Manchester, these grandchildren: Jennifer Young and Brian of Frankfort, Merianne Higgins and Josh of Manchester, Emily Burchell of Lexington, Gilbert Burchell of Frankfort, and Catherine Owen and Jason of Charleston, South Carolina. Also surviving are the following great grandchildren: Jaxon Burchell of Frankfort, Mary Carson Higgins, Luke Higgins, and Nathan Higgins all of Manchester, and these brothers and sisters: Ruby Fields of Seven Mile, Ohio, Marie Caudill and husband Johnny of Ocala, Florida, Joy Wiek and husband Steve of Burnside, Kentucky, and Clay Hammons and wife Jewel of London, Kentucky.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Charlie Hammons and Lucy Miles, her son: Ed Hill Burchell, her brother: Clyde Hammons, and 2 sisters: Pearl Fields and Bernice Burkhart.

Funeral Services for Bea Burchell will be Saturday, February 20th, 2010 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Rogers will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Burchell Cemetery in the Greenbriar Community.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 20th, from 12 PM until 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
