Thomas Bahr, born in Baden, Germany, was naturalized in Chillicothe, OH on March 15, 1852 (book 21, page 438). He came to America at age 46 on the ship ONEIDA from Havre. It arrived in NYC on 27 Feb 1847. With him were J. Baptist (19), Anna Maria (16), Wendel (12), Elizabeth (10), Cecile (7), and George (6). Thomas was living on 1860 census in Seal Twp of Pike Co., OH. He was married in Ortenberg in Baden to Klara Lienert, by whom he had his children. Klara died in Baden in 1843. Thomas was originally buried at St. Peter’s Church in Chillicothe, but was reinterred to St. Margaret’s by his daughter, Elizabeth Barr Walters.
