Mrs. Fanny Arne, 76, died Thursday at the county general hospital after a month's illness. She had lived in nursing homes for the last 10 years.
A native of Austria, Mrs. Arne came to this county in 1884, living in Ishpeming and Hancock, Mich. In 1923 she came to Milwaukee. Her husband, Benjamin, a merchant, died in 1926.
Surviving Mrs. Arne is a son, Preston, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Leo Stier, Detroit, Mich., and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Whinnen, Hancock.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Goodman-Bensman funeral home, 5831 W. Burleigh st. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
