COUNTY CORRESPONDENCE.

OBITUARY.

Editors Ledger: - On the night of the 30th ult. occurred the death of Miss Mary Anderson at the home of her father, E. P. Anderson near Four Corners. She was the eldest daughter and was born on the same farm Aug. 15th, 1856. She was converted to Christ when a mere child, and had faithfully kept his charge ever since. She leaves father, mother, one sister and four brothers - Miss Susanna and Frank at home, S. P. at Kearney, Neb., A. E. at Gothenburg, Neb., and A. L. at Fairfield. All but the two latter were with her in her last moments. She had been an invalid for several years, but had not been confined to her bed until the last few weeks. During her illness she at times suffered the most excruciating pain without a murmur, trusting always to Jesus. The writer knows it is customary to speak well of the departed, but in this instance it is doubly so, as all acquaintances will attest. A truer, nobler, kinder person never lived among us than was Mary Anderson. She had no superiors and but very few equals, and was, like her namesake of old, a christian example of rectitude, patience and submission. She had been a member of the Swedish M. E. church here for about twenty-five years. The funeral occurred from the family residence at 2 0'clock Sunday. Services were conducted by Rev. C. M. Holmberg in the Swedish language and Rev. S. T. Horton in English. A large concourse of people followed the remains to their last resting place.
