GOLDEN - Retha Beam, 84, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham. She was born Nov. 13, 1919, in Itawamba County to the late H.C. and Myrtle Mackleroy Adams. She was a retired homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Adams, Bro. Robert Humphres and Bro. Mark Beam officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Richard Allen Beam and wife, Julia, of Fulton; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ivy Beam, in 1994; and a son, Eugene Beam.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Beam, Chester Harnage, Jimmy Harnage, Ricky Adams, Gary Stephens and Johnny Adams.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
