Son of James T and Jacqueline Evans Williams.
In the 1960’s and 70’s he was a radio announcer and newsman. From 1978-88 he taught communications for Henrico County Schools vocational department. He retired in 2002 as owner of Danville Micro Computers.
On May 5, 1962 Mike married Norma Kendrick, the daughter of Clarence B. and Tina Powell Kendrick. Mike was a long-time genealogist researcher and published several compilations of genealogical records. He was an honorary life member of the Piedmont-North Carolina Genealogical Society. After retirement he devoted his time to locating and documenting family cemeteries in Pittsylvania County. He also held a amateur radio license KC4AO.
He was the great-grandson of two Pittsylvania County Confederate Veterans. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Wayne C. Williams. He is survived by wife, Norma; son, Bryan and a grandson.
