YORK - Margie M. Marquette, 95, of York, formerly of Dallastown, died at 9:18 p.m. Sunday at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Clarence W. Marquette.
Mrs. Marquette was born April 20, 1905, in Shamokin. She was the daughter of the late John W. and Bertha E. (Gass) Richie.
She was the manager of Kempton's Dress Shop in Shamokin; later, she retired from Bear's Department Store in York. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Spry and Overlook Garden Club in Overlook.
Mrs. Marquette is survived by four sons, 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a brother.
The service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 50 School St., Spry. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, is in charge of arrangements.
