Ira D. George, affectionately known as "Tata", departed this life on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Ira is survived by his wife, Octavia George; daughter, Hannah George; two granddaughters, Ryver and Raven Kuhnert; four brothers, Sylvester, Auswin, Ausley and Delford George; two sisters, Barbara and Lola George; and he has always been a part of and grateful for his friends, and caregivers who faithfully took care of him in his twilight hours.
The first viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hurley Funeral Home Celestial Chapel. The second viewing will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Church Methodist on Market Square with the service following at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Eastern Cemetery.
