Death of Charles E. Tate Wednesday at Oketo
Charles Edwin Tate passed away Wednesday, October 24, at the home of a son, Edwin, in Oketo. Mr. Tate was 73 years of age and had been seriously ill for the past four years.

The body was brought to the Lauer Funeral Home and services will be held there Friday afternoon at 2:30.

Mr. Tate is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Gene Lueb of Seneca and Mrs. Julius Stoffer of Decatur, Ill.; four sons, Perry of Los Angeles; Clifford of Omaha; Edwin of Oketo and Orville of Frankfort; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Goolby of Falls City, and Mrs. Seany Fisher, Seneca.

Services for Charles E. Tate

Charles E. Tate was born April 14, 1877 at Des Moines, Iowa, and passed away October 24, 1950 at the age of 73. He lived in Nemaha county 69 years.

On January 1, 1906 he was married to Miss Cora White. To this union seven children were born, six of whom survive. Those surviving are Mrs. Gene Lueb, Seneca; Mrs. Julius Stoffer, Decator, Illinois; Perry, Los Angeles; Clifford, Omaha; Edwin, Oketo; and Orville, Frankfort. Mary Elizabeth died at birth. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Seany Fisher, Seneca and Mrs. Ida Goolsby, Falls City.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. B. Parker at the Lauer Funeral Home Friday afternoon. A quartet, Mrs. Clyde Woods, Jr., Mrs. Charles Jermane, Louis Slocum and Edward Taylor, accompanied by Mrs. John H. Kongs, sang two hymns.

Burial was at the city cemetery.
