William “Bill” N. Sandy, 89, passed away April 11, 2105 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska.
Bill was born December 30, 1925 to Frank and Emma Sandy in Chicago, Illinois.

Before graduating high school, Bill joined the Navy and served on the USS Nehenta Bay during WWII.

Following the war, he worked for United Airlines where he met and married Neva Erdene Beeson. They lived and raised three children in Aurora, Colorado until retire from United in 1988. He loved family, was an avid skier, golfer, bowler and elk hunter. He was a huge Bronco fan going to all home games and six super bowls since 1972. He loved to watch the Chicago Cubs, the Colorado Rockies, Avalanche and Nuggets.

In 1988 they moved to Cainsville, Missouri to the in-laws farm where he spent his time enjoying the grand kids, travelling and helping the in-laws on their farm. In 2006 he moved to Maxwell, Nebraska to live with his daughter and her family where he enjoyed going to all the grand kids activities and became a huge Maxwell Wildcats fan.

Bill was proceeded in death by his parents, wife: Erdene, daughter: Joyce, brothers: Julius, Frank and Louie. Sister-in-law: Harriett Sandy, Brothers-in-law: Manly Baker and Gene Ehlers.

He is survived by his son Brian, Daughter: Jeanette and husband, Lyle; Grandchildren: Justin (Kim), Jason (Julie), Emma (John), Jake, and Connor; Great Grandchildren: Colt, Kurri, Ava, Blake and Jaden; In-laws: Helen Sandy, Norma Baker, Adene and Garland Beeson, Nancy Ehlers, Nina Beeson, Marilyn and Gene White and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Stoklasa Memorial Chapel, Cainsville, with Pastor Joe Hendren officiating. Burial will be at the Lilly Cemetery, Ridgeway. Family visitation will be from 1 until 2 on Sunday at the funeral home.
