John Gray, age 64, of Breckenridge, MO, died peacefully on March 25, at St Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City.
John was a life-long resident of Breckenridge. Known locally as “Bullet” from his high school years, it stuck with him all his life. A farmer and amateur rodeo cowboy in his early years, John was a renaissance man with a love of history and literature. He also taught himself to play guitar and the harmonica. He was a poet, humorist, and avid story teller, and will be missed by his many friends and family.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Margaret Gray.
He is survived by his sisters, BJ and Connie Gray; brother-in-law, Don Stout; niece, Jessica Bowers; nephew, Jacob Stout; and numerous cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration of John’s life will be held April 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the local park in Breckenridge. Inclement weather alternative will be at the same 11:00 a.m. in the American Legion Hall, 207 NW Memorial Lane, Hamilton, MO.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breckenridge Alumni Association, Scholarship Fund, Breckenridge, MO or Hamilton/Polo Masonic Lodge.
