Gwendolyn J. Thompson, 69, Johnstown, died April 9, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 30, 1946, to the late Robert R. and Edna L. (Svoboda) Hagerich-Briggs. Preceded in death by husband, Edward Thompson. Survived by brother, Scott Hagerich (Diane); stepfather, Weldon Briggs; nieces, Holly Hall and Shannon Riden; and companion, Richard Kniss. Gwendolyn was a member of First United Methodist Church, was an American Medical Technologist and a life member of VFW ladies auxiliary. She also was a member of Harmony Singing Society, Windber Moose, Dale Firemen’s Club and Sons of Italy (Franklin Street). Gwendolyn also enjoyed bowling in Richland on Thursday nights.
