She grew up in Wilson Creek and later moved to Palacios. Martha attended Hilliard High School in Bay City. On November 28, 1968 she was united in marriage to Jerry Haynes Sr. and from this union was born three daughters and two sons.
Martha confessed her belief and hope in Christ at an early age and it continued throughout her life.
Martha was called home on May 29, 1997. She leaves sweet memories to her husband of 29 years.
Martha was preceded in death by her mother and father and daughter Camille and brother Robert Deadrick.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Martha Haynes will be Sunday at Pilgrim Rose Baptist Church in Palacios with Elder Eric Young officiating and Rev. Leroy Monroe as pastor. The time and date of service will be Sunday, June 1, 1997 at 2 p. m. at Green’s Mortuary which is in charge of the service.
