PEKIN - Frances Rose Bearden, 89, of 2501 Allentown Road passed away at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Hallmark House Nursing Center. She was formerly of 902 Park Ave.
Born Nov. 19, 1916, in Forest City, she was a daughter of Philip and Lulu Horn.
She married Robert Daniel "Bud" Bearden on July 13, 1935, in Chicago. He died March 12, 1960, in South Bend, Ind. She was also preceded in death by one infant daughter, Catherine Bearden; one grandson; one great-grandson; two brothers; and three sisters.
Rose worked for Pekin Hospital for 21 years, retiring in 1982 as the assistant director of medical records.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin, where she was formerly a Sunday School teacher.
She had served on the Kickapoo Council of the Girl Scouts of America in the Pekin area.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
