After his wife Sarah "Sallie" Clopton died 14 Mar 1877 (buried in Oak Hill Baptist Cemetery, Larue Co KY), Hayden Brooks lived with son Robert Wesley Brooks in Larue County per 1880 Census. Robert Wesley and his brother Bird P. Brooks moved west, and it appears Hayden went with one/both of them. The 1890 Veterans Schedule shows Civil War veterans Bird P. Brooks & brother Robert Wesley Brooks in Dade Co MO in 1890. This provides supporting evidence that their father Hayden T Brooks lived with one of them, died on 13 Feb 1885 and was buried in Dudenville Cemetery (6188769), not Oak Hill Baptist Cemetery in Larue Co KY.
