SHELL, REV. JOHN WESLEY - Age 63 years, of 318 Morgantown St., Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly Thursday morning, June 13, 1967, at the Uniontown Hospital. He was the son of the late William P. and Millie Hearn Shell. Surviving are one son, Jerome W. Shell, Uniontown; four grandchildren; five brothers, D. F. Shell, Winfield, La.; W. F. Shell, Kelly, La., J. J Shell, West Monroe, La., Judge J. T. Shell, Bastrop, La. and S. B. Shell, Bastrop, La.; one sister, Miss Allee Shell, Winfield, La. Rev. Shell was a retired Annual Pittsburgh Conference Methodist Minister and a former pastor of the Christ Methodist Church,, Uniontown. He was a member of the Leland Bible Class, the Golden Age Club, a life member of the Sharpsburg Rotary Club, an Honorary member of Uniontown Rotary Club, a member of the Dirigo Lodge, No. 226, F & AM, Haddam, Kansas, the Duquesne Commandry, No. 27, Knights Templar, Pittsburg and the Syria Temple, Pittsburgh. Rev. Shell was predeceased by his wife, Lillith Riley Shell, March 5, 1947. Friends will be received in the Jerome W. Shell Funeral Home 218 Morgantown St. after 7 this evening, and until 12 noon Sunday, and in the Christ Methodist Church, Sunday, from 1 until 3 p. m., the hour of service. Rev. Forrest A. Goodrich and Rev. George A. Moorce, District Superintendent, will officiate. Burial will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, under the direction of the Wagner-Cooley Funeral Home, Fairchance.
