Violet "Jo" Walker, age 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, after a time of declining health. She was born September 18, 1928, in Cement, OK, to William and Mary Ann (Riley) Allen.
She grew up in Cement and was a graduate of Cement High School. She moved to Mustang in 1971 from Woodward and was a longtime member of Lakehoma Church of Christ. She worked many years as a bookkeeper for Walker and Fudge Development Co. She loved to travel and was an avid reader.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lois and Betty.
She is survived by her husband Lloyd, of 66 years, two sons David Walker and wife Becky of Traverse City, MI, Jim Walker and wife Stacey of W. Monroe, LA, two daughters Janet Reed and husband Steve of Conway, AR, and Lori Walkabout of Mustang.
Jo is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two sisters, Thelma Cannon of Duncan and Maxine Mallett of Lucedale, MS.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund at the Lakehoma Church of Christ.
Services - Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Lakehoma Church of Christ with interment in Red Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
