Relatives and friends of the family, also employes of the Penna. Railroad Co., are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from his late residence, 315 Stuart avenue, on Thursday, Nov. 20. Meet at the house at 2 o'clock. Interment in Northwood Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening.

Yesterday afternoon, the funeral services of the late Levi Z. Backenstose was held from his late residence on Stewart (sic) avenue. Rev. M.R. Heilig, of the Lutheran Church, officiated. The services were largely attended by relatives and friends and many beautiful floral pieces were presented by them as their last token of respect. On Wednesday evening the members of Alert Fire Company, No. 1, turned out in a body to pay their last respects to their departed brother fireman. The pall bearers were as follows: Edward Nelms, William L. John, Nelson Clark, Joseph Charles, Harry Dennis, A. Catherman, all members of the M.W. department of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, with whom the deceased had worked for many years, until he was retired several years ago. Interment was made in the family lot at Northwood Cemetery.
