BLUEFIELD - Edith Grace Johnson, 88, of 128 Fincastle Lane, Bluefield died Saturday at a Bluefield hospital. Born in Lerona, she was a daughter of the late A.A. and Sadie Caldwell Hopkins Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Circle 6 and the Wesley Christian Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie W. Johnson; one son, William H. Johnson; and one brother, Mason C. Hopkins. Survivors: sister, Ruby Hopkins Fielder of Princeton; brothers, A.A. (Lon) Hopkins Jr., of Bluefield and Erskin J. Hopkins of Dayton, Ohio; step brother, Ray Leffell of Seattle, Wash.; daughter-in-law Kathryn Johnson of the home; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel in Bluefield with the Dr. Patricia Jarvis and the Dr. Julian Sulgit officiating. Burial will be at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
