On Saturday morning about eight o'clock, John Fowler died, aged 52 years. Funeral from the Universalist church, Sunday, conducted by Rev. John G. Coulter. Services of funeral rites by the W.A. Boyd Post, and assisted by a number of the Cambridge G.A.R. comrads.

Fowler, John enlisted in Co C, 13th Reg Ind Vol Inf, April, 1861, for three years. Was in all battles engaged in by his Regiment until the arrival in front of Petersburg. Discharged at expiration of term. Re-enlisted and was detailed on duty at Indianapolis. Yet in service, May, 1865. Residence previous to enlistment with James S. Fowler, Jackson tp.
