May Dean McCarty Collins passed away on December 18, 2010. She was born at home in rural Van Zandt County on December 4, 1933, the first born of a set of twins to parentage of Virgil B. and Bertha Fry McCarty. May Dean was a graduate of Wills Point High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Collins; parents; brother, Bobby J. McCarty and sister, Edythe McCarty McCormack.
Visitation 5-7 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the funeral home. Graveside service and interment 2PM Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Cana Cemetery, located 10 miles south of Wills Point in Van Zandt County.
