He was born November 10, 1939, in Phillips, WI, to Earl & Iva (Bratley) Murray. He graduated from Wild Rose High School in 1957. Arleigh attended the Oshkosh Institute of Technology where he received his Associate Degree.
On August 3, 1958, he married Donna Klitzki; Donna preceded him in death in 1980. On June 19, 1998, he married Ann (Lefeber) Immel.
Arleigh had worked as a manager for Rural Mutual until he retired.
Arleigh loved to hunt with his family and friends along with fishing. He was an avid bowler and golfer as well.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Ann; his son, Scott (Geralyn) Murray of Adams; his daughter, Tina Murray of Madison; stepson, Jeff (Jennifer) Lefeber of Fond du Lac; stepdaughter, Ashley (Brady) Retzlaff of Fond du Lac; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his in laws, Eugene (June) Lefeber, John (Sandy) Lefeber, Steve Lefeber, Gerry (Linda) Lefeber, Joan (Earl) Merten, Ken (Melissa) Lefeber; many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Earl & Iva Murray; his first wife, Donna; his son, Russell; and his siblings, Leslie, Lester, Opal, Leona, Vivian, Donny, George, William, Iona, and Violet; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Eugene & Virginia Lefeber.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W, Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Paul Koenig, OFM Cap will officiate. Arleigh will be laid to rest in the Mt. Repose Cemetery in Adams Friendship.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Arleigh's family at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079, on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 PM. Visitation will also be at the funeral home Monday morning, January 16th, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.
