Arlene G. Granda Zellner, 77, of 156 South Broad St., Nazareth, died Friday, March 5, in Plainfield Township, as an result of an automobile accident.
She was a nurses aide at Gracedale County Home for 14 years in Upper Nazareth Township before retiring in 1982. Before that she was a machine operator at the former Nazareth Waist Mill for 14 years.
Born Dec. 2, 1921, in Lower Nazareth Township, she was a daughter of the late Daniel M. and Cora B. Godshall Nace.
She was a member and pianist for Epworth Methodist Church, 3245 Oakland Road, Bethlehem. She was a also a former Sunday school teacher and choir director for 50 years and organist for 35 years for the former Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member and board member of the Bethlehem Christian Women's Club.
Two husbands, Meriln Zellner died in 1985 and Milton Granda died in 1969.
She is survived by a son, William R. of Scotch Plains, N.J.; two stepdaughters, Betty Fraunfelder of Pen Argyl and Mamie Teel of East Lawn; two stepsons, Kenneth Zellner of Tatamy, and Robert Zellner of Hellertown; two daughters, Donna L. Schmoyer of Bally, Pa. and Sara Ann Dodge of Toccoa, Ga.; three brothers, Austin of South Williamsport, Pa., Sammuel of Moore Township and William of Boyertown, Pa.; nine grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 14 step-great-grandchildren, three step-great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Epworth United Methodist Church, Bethlehem. Call 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center St., Nazareth and 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Lower Nazareth Township.
