Duane M. Geisness, 72, Sycamore, died July 13, 2003, as a result of an automobile accident in Madison.
He was born June 27, 1931, in Phillips, to Alvin and Helen (Peters) Geisness. He married Joan Ziwiski, on July 12, 1952, in Chicago.
He was employed at Lakeside Central in machine maintenance for over 30 years. He was a graduate of Phillips High School, Class of 1948.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; one son, Duane Geisness, St. Charles; three daughters, Deborah (Larry) Baker, Summit, Ill.; Cheryl (Ronald) Gaydos, Lemont, Ill.; and Karen (Robert) Casey, Hampshire, Ill.; one brother, Alvin Geisness, Phillips; five sisters, Gwen Isham, Park Falls; Gay (Bill) Christensen, Tomhawk; Pat Jensen, Milwaukee; June (Duane) Puhl, Sussex; and Janice (Ronald) Kuhar, Menomonee Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service was on July 17 at Butala Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ill., with Rev. Wayne Stoutenburg officiating.
A graveside service was held on July 19 at the Forest Home Cemetery in Fifield.
