He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry VanAllen ; a sister, Ruby Wright ; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Un Hui Kim VanAllen of the home; two sons, Charles VanAllen of Danville, Virgina, and Gary VanAllen of Booneville ; four daughters, Pamela Williams of Fort Smith, Vickie Bates of Russellville, Kimberly Lewis of Springdale and Martha Teague of Fayetteville ; a brother, Hederick VanAllen of Washington ; two sisters, Reba May of Booneville and Retha Baxter of Little Rock ; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
