Mr. Keith Lamar Bennett, 75, died Wednesday morning (April 1, 2015) at his residence after an extended illness.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. He retired from Scapa Dryers as a mechanic after 36 years. He enjoyed supporting Ware County Gator Football, Pierce County Bears Basketball, Soccer and other sports and events that his grandchildren participated in over the years. As a dedicated health conscious person, he exercised daily, bicycling, jogging and walking at the Trembling Earth Complex. He was a very special husband, father and grandfather to his family and he will be missed dearly.

He is the son of the late Clyde Kelly Bennett and Lois Lillian Morgan Bennett of Millwood. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Kelly Bennett and Bennie Bennett; and one sister, Betty Joiner.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Eleanor Cox Bennett of Waycross; one son, Kevin Bennett (wife Paula) of Waycross; one daughter, Angie Inman (husband Rusty Bodenhamer) of Blackshear; six grandchildren, Chris Inman, Logan Inman and Brad Inman all of Blackshear, Mason Bodenhamer of Valdosta, Holly Bennett and Taylor Bennett both of Waycross; one sister, Phyllis Howell (husband Alvin) of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
