Mrs. Betty Bennett Joiner, 84, died Monday (September 22, 2014) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross following an extended illness. She was a native of Waycross and had lived most of her life in Ware County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Joiner and her parents, Clyde Bennett and Lois Morgan Bennett.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Joiner (wife Letha) of Waycross; three daughters, Margie Hickox (husband Ken) and Diane Peagler both of Waycross, Carolyn Aldridge (husband Dennis) of Blackshear; eight grandchildren, Tammy Sills (husband James), Bobby Joiner (wife Janet), Amy Kocher (husband Steve), Amber Steverson, Mark Aldridge (wife Beth), Luccas Aldridge, Samuel Aldridge and Kristen Bush (husband Jeff); nine great grandchildren; a brother, Keith Bennett of Waycross; a sister, Phyllis Howell of Waycross and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday (September 25, 2015) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6 until 8.
