Sweetwater- Mrs W E Tait, 66 lifetime resident of Nolan County and resident of Sweetwater since 1847, died at Simmons Memorial Hospital here, Thursday at 7:05pm after a five weeks illness.
Funeral will be held at 2 pm Saturday at Blackwell Methodist Church. Burial will be in Blackwell Cemetery under direction of Cate-Spencer Funeral Home. The Rev. G K Corley and the Rev. Charles Dunam, both of Blackwell will officiate. Mrs Tait was the former Jimmie Zella Lackey, and was born at Hylton Feb 2 1898. She was married to Mr. Tail at Blackwell Nov 1, 1914.
Surviors are her husband, five daughters; Mrs Claude Grimes of Littleton, Mrs Wilson Fullwood of Sweetwater, Mrs Elber Hyde of Nolan, Mrs Ben Johnson of Pampa, and Mrs Dena Wood of Houston 13 grandchildren, one brother Lee Lackey of Blackwell, two sisters, Mrs Mae Jones and Mrs Ara Martin of Lubbock.
