Jessie Lee Johnson, 90, died on August 5, 2013 at Crest View Retirement Center in Bryan, TX. She was a resident of Abilene, TX.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Blackwell Cemetery with Reverend Claude McKiddy officiating.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Blackwell, Texas on May 5, 1923. She married Benjamin Franklin Johnson on June 13, 1942. Mrs. Johnson lived in Abilene, Texas from 1951 until 1958 then Pampa, Texas 1958 until 1968, Lubbock 1968 until 1978 then San Antonio from 1978 until 1986, moving back to Abilene in 1986. She was employed as a sales clerk and retired from the J.C. Penney Company. She was a member of Elmwood West United Methodist Church in Abilene.

Survivors include her daughter, Jan Childress of Bryan, TX; son, Benjamin L. (Debby) Johnson of Austin; grandchildren, Brian A. Johnson of Dripping Springs, and Sara Childress-Goodwin of Brownwood; great-grandchildren, Shelby Johnson and Megan Johnson of Dripping Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband on September 12, 2010 and four brothers and sisters.
