SAN ANTONIO - Marvin Edward Bickford, age 92, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away March 29, 2015. He was born October 7, 1922 in Tivoli, Texas, to the late Charles and Bertha Bickford.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Bickford, six sisters, and two brothers.

Marvin proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Alabama during WWII. He then returned to San Antonio where he met and married Ann. He was employed with City Public Service as a Senior Electrical Technician until retiring in 1983. Marvin and Ann enjoyed many years in Tivoli after retirement.

Visitation will be at the Tivoli Presbyterian Church, Tivoli, Texas. Funeral Services will follow with Cindy Myers, CLP, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Tivoli Cemetery.

SAN ANTONIO - Marvin Edward Bickford, age 92, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away March 29, 2015. He was born October 7, 1922 in Tivoli, Texas, to the late Charles and Bertha Bickford.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Bickford, six sisters, and two brothers.
He is survived by his children, Donald Taubert and his wife Suzanne; Linda
Hillyard and her husband Stephen; Carolyn Sweeney and her husband Timothy; and Bettye Padgett and her husband David; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Marvin proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Alabama during WWII. He then returned to San Antonio where he met and married Ann. Pallbearers are Kyle Cunningham, Russell Gage, Zachary Padgett, Timothy Sweeney, Christopher Taubert, Donald 'Dee' Taubert, Jr., Jason Thomas, and Matthew Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers are Jennifer Cunningham, Cynthia Gage, Donna Taubert, and Amanda Thomas.

Interment will follow at the Tivoli Cemetery.
