Services celebrating the life of Wendell “Bubba Ellis” Bazar will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Wise Memorial Baptist Church, Marco, with Reverend Wayne Chance officiating. Burial will follow in Rachal Cemetery, Marco, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
The family requests that visitation be observed at the funeral home, Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and resume at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Terry Prothro, Travis Prothro, Ronnie Walls, William Prothro, Charles Prothro and Michael Rachal. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Rachal and Joe Prothro.
Mr. Bazar, 59, of Lena, passed from this life on Monday, March 30, 2015 in Rapides Regional Medical Center.
During his working life he was a log truck driver, affectionately known as “Uncle Wendell” with Perforex/Roy O Martin for the last 10 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed and not forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Ruby Rachal Bazar.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of more than 34 years, Alice Faye Prothro Bazar; son, Michael David Bazar (Kelli); daughters, Alisha Marie Salard (Michael) and Jennifer Rose Smith (Chris); mother in law, Mildred Prothro; sisters, Darlene Pace and Ginger Coolman; brothers in law, Terry Prothro (Karen), Charles Prothro (Caroline), Joe Prothro (Charlotte); grandchildren, B. J.(18), Nick (14), Austyn “Goober” (12), Kaitlyn(11), Emilee(8), Madalyn “Booty”(6), Brynlee(5) and Wailyn “Monkey Boy”(4 months); nieces and nephews, Lori, Melissa, Travis, Ashley, Shawn, Alex, William, Kimberly, Tanner and Corey; great nieces and nephews, Reanne, Kyndall, J T, Keegan, Ethan, Emmalyn, Emily, Trevor and a host of other family members and friends.
