Born August 25, 1937 in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Calvin Crosby, Sr. and Elizabeth Crosby.
Mr. Crosby was a long distance truck driver and served his country in the South Carolina National Guard. He loved getting on the road and driving his truck and most of all taking care of his faithful companion, Poochie, and all of his goats.
Surviving are: his children, Calvin, III and Donna Gail; sister, Betty Ann and husband Paul; brother, Jessie and wife Frances; and his best friend, Robert Terry.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Mary Ann Crosby and Angela Crosby; and his brothers, Clyde Crosby and Charles Edward Crosby.
The funeral service was held March 28, 2015 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, with interment following in Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
